My Saturday morning ritual is Coffee and Fox & Friends(this is actually my every morning ritual)but on Saturdays I get to do it ALONE(heavenly). In my head Alisyn Camerota, Natalie Morales, and I meet at Starbucks and then our kids have a weekly playdate and we talk about how much we loathe Meredith Viera, sorry, completely off track. Anyway, this morning the anchors were discussing a study out of the University of Southern Australia stating that women were less likely to buy products from a store equipped with an attractive salesperson because it was too intimidating and some bad self esteem quickly ensued. Alisyn QUICKLY disagreed stating that if she saw something that she liked being sported by someone relatively attractive that she would in fact ask them about it and be more likely to purchase it. I So agree (but, like I said, we are Bffs.) It always makes me feel better when the sales lady at Trish McEvoy doesn't look like she had her own makeup done by Liza Minelli. It totally makes me nervous that the hair stylists where I go don't have better hair themselves. Or the nails on some nail technicians (No, thanks!), but this is coming from the girl who doesn't understand why the same haircut doesn't make her Elizabeth(on General Hospital)'s identical twin.....what do you think? Are you intimidated or more comfortable buying something from an attractive salesperson? Be honest, this is much less shallow than it sounds :)

you lost me after the morning coffee! LOL but You've been tagged!
ReplyDeleteyeah, Im thinking too much coffee before posting that one :)
ReplyDeleteI'm with you and Alison. I would much rather the salesperson be fairly attractive if she is sporting something I like. I've been known to walk in to Anthro and ask a few working chicks where they got their duds. OK, does that make sense? I haven't even had any coffee. :)
ReplyDeleteFirst, I just love that you are a fellow Fox & Friends fan! Second, I totally agree with you -- I especially don't want to buy beauty products off of someone who doesn't look good. That doesn't say much for the products...
ReplyDeleteI'd also much rather buy from pretty people. = ) I would be horrified if my hairstylist's hair was worse than mine...actually, I'd probably pretend to be sick and go elsewhere for my wig adjustment!
