If you have a friend expecting in the near future you can go to takethemdinner.com and create an account. You email the link to anyone you think may be interested (at my last baby shower the hostess had everyone write down their email address) with the account name and password and let them sign up for a time and date to bring dinner. Interested parties record their dish and contact information so there are no repeats, but your inbox isn't clogged with a million "reply all" messages trying to coordinate who's bringing what when....GENIUS! I know I appreciated this so much those first few crazy weeks and got some great new recipes, too! What's your favorite dish to make when you Take Them Dinner?
excuse me this is genuis and I hope my peeps do this when I have another baby! I love to bring homeade soups or casseroles that are easy to freeze if they are bombarded with food!
