So, my birthday was recently celebrated, and as I ushered in my 31st year, I experienced a first:Various family members:"What do you want for your birthday?"
Birthday Girl:"I can't think of one thing I need."
I thought it would make me feel old to respond that way, but it just made me HAPPY. I hope you know that happy; its not the happy after a shopping trip or unexpected good news....just a peaceful "happy". After my birthday I realized that it was a great day, but everyone involved treats me pretty much the same way every other day of the year, too...that kind of "happy".
*and if you say you don't need anything for your birthday you get giftcards...HAPPY!!
