or perhaps more accurately, "why not?". I hear that a lot. "Because I'm the mom, that's why!" is what my gut always says to go with, but in an effort to get my son thinking I usually try to reason with him and explain "why" or "why not". I don't think he'll stop asking until he's in a similar predicament:

I swore I'd never utter the words, "because I said so" but when you're asked a totally obvious and non-answerable question, it's all you can think of!
ReplyDeleteWhy is Pink eye so contagious? The first few weeks my little guy was in daycare I got it 3 times. He didn't have it...so it must have been my husband farting on my pillow.
