I saw these in the Nordstrom Anniversary Ad, and knew they must come live with me:
I couldn't stop thinking about them. So in an attempt to torture myself even more, I went into the store and sat down to try them on, with HUGE feelings of guilt about purchasing something that would be so impractical when your day goes something like this: Gym,Carpool, laundry, cooking, soccer practice, Dr's appointments, volunteering at school...etc. (I'm sure you know the routine VERY VERY well, too) but was granted a huge reprieve when I spied these:
Same idea, only completely functional and FUN. You have to change up the uniform every now and then, right? They are the Sam Edelman "Beatrix" if you don't wear stilettos when its your turn to read to 5 year olds, either.

I am in love with both! I found a pair of boots that were marked down for the anniversary sale that I almost snagged, but I've got to keep my eye on nursery items. Next up - drapes... I'll vicariously live through your fabulous score!
ReplyDeletewhat a GREAT alternative....I only buy a few pairs of heels per season for work related/dress up stuff...because you are SO right...day to day..it is flats, flip flops and boots for sure.
