and due to some recent events at least ONE of these is possible!
The good Lord must have read the last post and gotten tired of my complaining because we welcomed our beautiful, healthy, perfect daughter the very next day. The last 5 days have left me delerious and awe-struck at how truly blessed our newly expanded family is. I think what I am most grateful for is all the little ways in which these blessings disguise themselves:
You know you are blessed when:
1. You hear the phrase "Hey Hon, can you put some Tucks on the Target List?" pass your lips. You are not embarrassed or worried that your husband might be.
2. "You definitely don't look like you just had a baby 5 days ago" is a compliment in your head, not your paranoid, hormonal self's way of taunting you that you didn't leave the hospital pageant ready(as was the case with offspring #1).
3. You can actually SLOW DOWN and ENJOY this Christmas season because all your shopping is done due to the fact that your favorite gift came 3 weeks early. Downfall to this sudden burst of what was thought of at the time as organizational genius: your beautiful daughter is not mentioned or portrayed on this year's Christmas card because you were in a hurry to check another thing off your list....funny story in a few years, no?
Must run now, have a chance to sleep so hopefully the bags under my eyes are not as big as my blessings!
