Here's one of the first pictures of Emma Stone as Skeeter Phelan in "The Help". What do you think? Apparently author Kathryn Stockett has a cameo in the movie and loves this casting decision. I can't wait to see the rest of the casting decisions unfold. I read recently that Viola Davis is to be cast as Abileen, but if this is true wardrobe better have some serious tricks up its sleeve because she looked FABULOUS at the Tony's and Im pretty sure a housekeeper in the '60s did not have arms like hers, wowza. Will you see the movie in August 2011? Let me know if you've heard any more regarding the casting!

I cannot wait for this movie-LOVED the book!
ReplyDeleteI'm so scared about this movie. I don't want it to ruin the book for me!! IMDB has all kinds of info about the cast. I WILL be seeing the movie.. but I will be very scared that it will be a big disapointment!

ReplyDeleteThey filmed about an hour from where I live. I went to a book signing and the cast was there and read some of the scenes. It was very cool! Loved the book.
ReplyDeleteLoved the Book. I cannot see Emma Stone as Skeeter - Emma Stone looks like Lindsay Lohan to me. I was picturing someone really tall and lanky, like laura dern, I know she's too old. And I love V. Davis, but I'm with you...they better pad her up!
