I can't take anymore!
One of the perks of parking it on the couch for a couple of hours a day feeling like you have been hit by a bus but then realizing its really just morning sickness is that you get to catch up on your daytime television. I've come to some decisions about the morning lineup:
1. During the '08 election I thought that NBC was very liberal, fast forward a year and a half put Brian Williams on the Gulf Shores with that tan, and I'm back...
2. I wish the Fox News Weekend anchors would overthrow the weekday anchors...I sometimes forget that Alysin Camerota and I are not in fact, friends in real life :(
3. Finally, I've given up on The View. See when college was over, I decided to leave the late night sorority rush meetings behind, too. The screaming over one another drives me crazy, I have a 4 year old-that's how we spend a fair amount of time, anyway. I used to think that everyone was ganging up on Elisabeth Hasselbeck, but now I feel like she is always on the defensive and speaks without thinking because of it a good majority of the time. I still haven't figured out what Sherri Shepard is even famous for and I think Whoopi acts like she doesn't have time for the guests unless they have previously worked together or have something else in common. She just sits on the corner of the couch in the ugliest danskos she can find, bra-less, and looking down her nose over her sunglasses at anyone less famous than her.
Where do you get your "news"? What program does your day not feel complete without?
I love the Today Show...I can't get into any other news show and then I love some Regis and Kelly! But only the opening bit! I don't care about theg uests! I just like their banter!!

love your blog... i have to comment and weigh in... I have switched to my new BFFs Hoda and KLG. At first I wasn't so sure, but the View ladies were killing me so i've officially made the switch and am loving them.
ReplyDeleteSherri was a comedienne and actress before The View...I know she was on Everyone Loves Raymond a number of times.
ReplyDeleteI used to enjoy the view when Lisa Ling was on. Sherri comes across as a mindless buffoon most of the time and Whoopie is not my fave either. I love Regis and Kelly and wish Kelly and I were bffs IRL. :)
ReplyDeleteFor some reason I watch The View everyday and it is beyond me why I continue to do so because I always get all worked up. Whoopi's ego is too big, Joy wont listen to anybody else, Sherri makes no sense half the time, and Elizabeth just screams and talks over everybody and sometimes I think she takes extreme positions on things just to be controversial. I only like it when people guest co host.
