I could compose a post on why New Year's Eve is the most overrated holiday ever, but I'd rather talk about more important things....like how my New Year's Eve totally turned around right before the ball dropped last night. So,we start out at dinner with some great friends(who coincidentally just found out they are preggers, so excited for them!) and we are discussing how old we feel and how this was probably the most eventful decade our lives would ever know(blah, blah, blah) poking fun at all the "amateurs" who were near us eating REALLY overdressed and way too excited about the night's events. Just a tad depressing. We finish dinner and go back to our friends' house to watch bowl games (if you are still reading, yes, this really is what we considered NYE "plans") and some more friends join us. Cue more whining about feeling old (aren't we a riot?). After much more whining to the guys to change the channel so we could watch something fun, they agree, so we turn on Dick Clark New Year's Rockin Eve. We see Jennifer Lopez (and her scary husband Marc Anthony....he creeps me out so bad...he just always looks like a skeleton with too much hair product and sunglasses). We realize getting older isn't so bad. We are going to feel great tomorrow and have grown much wiser over the past year. Wise enough to have enough sense to be against EVER WEARING SOMETHING LIKE THIS:

So, yes, it was a very happy new year!
is she like sweating under her boobies or something? WTH is that???!!!
ReplyDeleteROTFL Definite glamour fashion don't! The only redeeming qualities are the color and fabric. Execution of outfit is a fail!
ReplyDeleteOhhh my poor J-Lo...gorgeous face, but WTF is going on with that unitard nightmare???!
ReplyDeleteOh. My. Word. I watched it too, and we just sat there staring at the tv thinking WTF? So bad on so many levels! And, yes, her husband is super freaky!
ReplyDeleteLOL. I was uncomfortable watching that whole performance by JLo.
ReplyDeleteHappy New Year!!!!!!!!!!!
