If You Have One of These...

Definitely Read This:

I just finished this book last night. It has given me some peace of mind in thinking that my first child might NOT actually be very similar to the first pancake you make in the batch(seriously messed up because you dont know what you are doing until you have it perfected by the 2nd or 3rd one in the batch). I spent the better part of the month of December getting reactions from my son as though I was speaking Chinese to him. So frustrating, especially since it was supposed to be the most wonderful time of the year. Not so much. This book was written by two therapists (one of whom is a former pastor) who have 7 children between them(5 boys), that don't talk down to readers or make them feel like awful parents(especially the first timers). I feel like I have at least some clue of what to expect from here on out and felt so reaasurred after finishing this book, it certainly put a lot of fears to rest for me. If you can't decipher manspeak(and who can, really?) READ THIS!
I do not have a boy...however, one of my parent's friends once told me that they had to have a second child to prove that the first one was not their fault...that she was out of control all on her own, they had nothing to do with it!
ReplyDeleteHmmmm, so I suppose I should RUN out and buy this since I have 2 boys, and my 4yr old regularly drives me completely BATTY!
ReplyDeleteSo glad you left me a comment!!!! Love your blog!!! I'm going to add you to my blog list on the side of mine.
ReplyDeleteJust found your blog (not sure how....). I NEED this book! I have THREE boys and it's my middle son that leave me baffled. Thanks for the tip!
